Fml. I told myself I wouldn't cave to the next gen. My main gripes are as follows

Graphics - Are the ray tracing, graphical fidelity type of upgrades even really big for non biased purists? I see videos of side by sides and the guy is always like " the difference is huge" and it's really not. The jump from PS2 to PS3 was like being reborn. I haven't seen that woah moment yet.

Games - So i'm buying the xbox for 3 games. NFS unbound (mid reviews), flight simulator (epic reviews but possible learning curve) and Forza 8 (goes without saying) is their anything else not on previous gen worth waiting for?

I prefer dualsense and PS5 is the sexier and better UI console. But aside from ratchet all its big games like spiderman I happily have on PS4 pro.

Did I make a good decision? I always get like this after I spend decent money on electronics. I type this on a 4 year old phone. I tend to like to stick with what I know and the electronics can be loyal.

Was buying series X worth it for you?

This generation is only starting, think about games from early PS4 vs nowadays. I think they haven't even begun using the power of these systems bc most games are still coming out on last gen. I bought the Xbox Series X bc of the studios Microsoft bought and what they produce. Arkane studios doing games like Redfall, Bethesda making Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6 eventually, Tango Gameworks, and more.

The Series X hasn't been worth it yet but I will be keeping it for years to come. So in 5 years, 10 years whatever it will have a ton of games I'm still trying to catch up on or play again. We are just in this awkward between phase bc of the pandemic delaying games and chip shortages preventing people from getting their hands on the systems. In a year or 2 when all the games are exclusively current gen your PS4 won't cut it.

Not a bad price man. There are a lot of new games coming for XBox, really big games that have the possibility of changing XBox's fame of not so good exclusives. I still think PS5 would be a better choice but at that price... I don't think you could've found a PS5 for 350.

Ray Tracing is the biggest bullshit ever told to gamers. It's really nothing special, doesn't change a thing if you actually consider what it does and consumes a TONE of performance. Please, do not trade 60 FPS for some better stupid reflections that you'll only notice if you actually stop playing the game just to look at it.

I don't think you should regret, it's a great console and I highly recommend you try Forza Horizon 4 and 5. They feel DELICIOUS on that console.

The series X is amazing!! The gpu is a powerful one and everything runs smoothly. I have a ps5 and the uI and everything feels more fun the exclusives are ok but nothing to give up the extra power of the X for. The ps5 controller is like a the Rolls Royce of controller’s though with hepatic feedback all over the controller it’s amazing can’t get over how cool the rumble and clicking is I can almost feel the textures of sand and ice in God of war worth the console and the psvR2 is dope can’t wait for that. Damn the 3D audio is really good to I just got the ps5 headphones and they sync up flawlessly. Ok maybe go ps5 lol 😂

I like mine but i probably should’ve gotten a PS5, the main reason I got a Series X coming from PS4 was because of Backwards Compatibility, but now I have a 360 and PS3 so it doesn’t really matter
