Right so I want to get one or the other. Ive owned an Xbox since the og one but sold my series x a year ago after having it only a few weeks I just felt a bit underwhelmed by it, despite seeing all its endless praise for it and gamepass on Reddit. By that I mean I’d already played the games on gamepass on my Xbox one so yeah some graphical upgrades were nice but that was it. Still waiting on any decent first party games too a year later. However, I’ve got a lot of paid games on my account and saves etc. PlayStation has some amazing first party games I’ve completely missed out on over the years and looking at it PlayStation plus is pretty on par with gamepass minus new releases. So my question…which one?

Get a used ps4 to try the PlayStation games, get the Series X for gamepass and general gaming! I have both and I think the xbox is the better option

Ps5 ! Better games , better controller , No forced crossplay in fps games and no problem with finding games without it , overall better console experience. Changed Xbox for ps5 and no regrets ! Check demon souls , horizon , ghost of Tsushima , last of us !

From your question, you’re already leaning for the ps5 and you sold your damn series X and feel underwhelmed by it. And now you’re asking which to buy ? Wow just wow dude, I doubt even lots of people in here vote for xbox , you’ll still do otherwise.

Well yeah I did feel underwhelmed my question is will I just feel the same from the ps5? They’re hardly cheap and without giving an essay of detail my alternative would just be to buy a cheaper Xbox one again until more first party games came out. If it wasn’t clear in my message I’ve always owned Xbox so ultimately it would feel weird moving over to ps5

Depends what games you want to play hardware Wise they're more or less equal but it's the exclusives that really make the difference

Well yeah this is the problem I really want to play the final fantasy 7 remake and god of war, the last of us all those big exclusives. On the other hand Starfield is coming out relatively soon and forza motorsport. I think I’m gonna have to just flip a coin

I’ve had a PS5 from launch and I’m not going to lie, the controller is great but I’ve had countless problems with it. It’s been turning off by itself for the past 2 years. As soon as the warranty was over, I had nothing but problems. I rang PS directly and they quoted me 250+ to fix it!

I had both. PS5 is only good for its exclusives. Don’t get me wrong, it feels premium, but it’s just not good. Controller has a good quality, but it’s bad imo - speaker and mic in it, touchpad that’s useless, ergonomics are very bad for me and most people. In every other aspect than games, Xbox is superior. Better graphics and performance in most of the games, UI is actually customisable and OS doesn’t feel “dumb”, quick resume, much cheaper keys for games etc.
