Hey everybody, I’ve been an Xbox player my whole life but I got a great deal on a PS2 not too long ago and love the Playstation. Obviously its 2023 and the PS2 isn’t exactly up to date with the modern gaming era but should I invest in a PS5? I really want to play those exclusive Playstation games and I would really like to play with people on Playstation as well as Xbox but is it practical owning a PS5 when I already have an Xbox Series X? I find myself often bored with exclusive Xbox games nowadays and really want that RPG and MMO feel of Bloodborne and Shadow Of The Colossus. Im really leaning towards just saving up for the PS5 but I would like to know if theres any other advantages to owning a Playstation that an Xbox player wont necessarily know about or think of. I’ve also been considering just getting a good PC but thats a pretty large investment for me personally so another console would be ideal, thank you!

I've run with both since the xbox 360/PS3 days. It was always cheaper than getting a high-end gaming PC.
This gen is a little different. I decided to drop the xbox (still have OG, 360, and Xbone) and get a PC. Now I play PC/PS5.
I definitely recommend saving up for the PS5 and running 2 consoles. Sony is currently the most innovative in the industry, and the quality of their exclusives are GOTY candidates (and often winners) every single year.
The PS Plus subscription will overload you with all of the exclusives you've missed over the years with more games at half the price of GamePass.
