So here is the question: I'm living in the third world country and our currency is pretty s**t. I'm not in the position to get PS5 or Series X. I can get Series S or WII U+PS VITA about same price. (All used because Series S brand new is about x2 price comparison to used) I got PS1,2,3 and PSP and pretty bad PC. One hand it could be very good for say hello to new generation. In the other hand that could be my first Nintendo console and my dream console PS Vita. What do you guys think?

I guess you haven't heard that nintendo is shutting down its server for the Wii U. IMO (who also owns a Wii U) to go and get xbox series S as it will last you atleast 2-3 years or more. Gamepass is also amazing. I tried it and it is fucking amazing. Even though it was pc version still it should be considered. Also the series S is backward compatible

I would choose the series s, as much as I love retro devices it’s hard to encourage someone in your position to buy them unless you are going to mod them.

The series s will allow you to play modern games and use game pass. You can also look into emulation using retail mode (legal and no modding required). Have a look into it, atm I can emulate all 16/32 bit consoles all the way upto ps2 (running in 1440p and 3x resolution). It’s insane.

I already got ps2 w/hdd and component cable. I'm going to mod them because it's impossible to find games and they are really expensive+these are old consoles no need to action i think. In the other hand playing Gran Turismo 4 in 1440p would be good. I got 4k TV btw.

Series S would be the smartest idea, as that's a current console with an active install base. Furthermore, both the other systems don't have nearly as many games, as the Series S contains quite a lot more games on it than the Wii U and Vita

Wii U has 3 great Zelda games, you can play freakin’ Breath of The Wild, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. And with a Vita you can play something portable. You’re getting two devices instead of just the Series S. I’d go with Wii U and Vita all day.

Ah yes breath of the wild. And my dream babe Vita. IDK man one hand playing some new games (post 2015) because my pc is pretty bad and my newest console is a PS3 and the other hand world of Nintendo and some nice vita touches... Just so confused rn.

It really is a tough choice. If you are able to get Gamepass then I might change my mind and say a Series S. Only if you can get Gamepass though.

I'm majorly planning gamepass. Using only gamepass is highly chance for me because games are expensive as hell in here. Buying a new game would be a adventure like work 7 days and you are able to purchase one game. (hurray!) Definitely gonna use gamepass.

I would say to get a Series S then. Series S will offer much more gaming options. Get a Vita later down the road at some time. Skip the Wii U entirely. It only has Zelda and that’s pretty much all it has that’s needed.

That sounds good, it really is upto you and based on what makes you excited playing games. The wii u has an amazing library of games as well as the vita and modding them are a piece of cake.

The series S is an amazingly small console although all your modern games would need to be digital, and you’d find more value in game pass + emulating in retail mode (I think the dolphin emulator has also just started being ported over to retail mode).

Like I said, both choices are amazing and you just have to choose which makes you happier.

Series s coulf be nice if you have gamepass. On the other hand both the Wii U and PS Vita can be homebrewed.

Get the Series S, you will be able to play current gen games and emulate older consoles.

Well wii u has exclusive games that aren't on switch eg. Wind waker, series s isn't much different from the one s or one x or even just the one, psvita is a handheld version of the PlayStation and you get to play any PlayStation games on ps vita, ps vita isn't that much different than the ps portable, i highly recommend wii u but the eshop services are shutting down so if you want to get a wii u game it has to be a physical game, series s has good graphics though

Don't know about it. I'm thinking using gamepass. In the other hand softmodding. Games are pretty expensive in here even PS3 games. People generally softmod their consoles and people think original games are too premium so 2nd hand games are a mass. Its sometimes 20$ for a fifa14 in PS3 and it's a joke. (Btw 20$ is considered big money in here about 400 in our currency) If I'm going to buy a Xbox I'm gonna use gamepass. If I'm gonna buy Wii U+PS VITA then I will softmod them.

You don't need a ps vita if you have a ps portable

But only one analog stick is pretty s**t.

Then se the ps portable to get the ps vita, the ps vita is an upgrade

Out of all i would choose series s

Aubo1234 t1_jbe46vo wrote

Because every single xbox game is playable on it apart from the kinect ones, the gamepass is brilliant and the games are cheaper because you don't need to have to constantly get cross gen bundle games you can just get the games optimised fod series s, plus a lot of games on xbox nowadays are only playable on the series s or the x, so if you were me I'd be getting the series s
