Hey, it would be great if you please helped me. I currently own an xbox 360 and xbox one and have played them all my life now..But I really want to play playstation exclusives like Spiderman, god of war, last of us. So I need help deciding which console to buy, Xbox series X or Ps5. I generally prefer Xbox but I really want to try the PS exculsives and controller. Please help me decide🥹

You buy console for having fun, your post pretty much outlines what excites you, you’ve made your pick.

This is coming from someone who chose Xbox series x though.

If all your friends are on xbox thats probably a better choice, otherwise just look at the games you prefer. I have both and play 90% ps5, but jump over to xbox for some of the games over there like HiFi rush, rogue legacy 2, and vampire survivors.

PS5, easy.

You already have access to all but 3 Series X games through your Xbox One. If you're excited about Starfield, then you'll miss that, too.

With PS5, you'll have access to crap the crap ton of GOTY exclusives you've been missing out on.

I may say both are good but mostly I play in PC. It's your choice for the console because what games what you like.

I have both. If you're excited for the Playstation exclusives, go with the PS5. The controller is pretty amazing and the exclusives are fun. Series X might have some good exclusives down the road, and I play it as often as my PS5, but I think its value is largely unlocked by being a PC gamer like I am - You get a lot of play-anywhere titles that you can choose to play on PC or console and I dig that feature. Xbox is also superior in my opinion for playing older-than-last-generation titles, but even for older games there are some Playstation exclusives that make it to PS5 and not Xbox, so it depends on what titles you like.

I went Series X over PS5 while I wait for a ps5 slim and I love the series x. I've always had playstation and Xbox together but so far I'm getting to play the Playstation exclusives on my gaming pc so the need for ps5 not so great. If you love the xbox ecosystem then go for the series x as it's a beast.

I own both the series x and ps5, im an xbox guy but the ps5 is probably my favorite, the dualsense controller is probably the best controller out there, also the ps+ has better games than gamepass, the xbox series x has better graphics in my opinion and the xbox one games on series x perform better than ps4 games on ps5, id also recommend getting the disc loading ps5 because u dont have ps games and finding a cheap disc is pretty common, also sony is active with updating graphic and frame rate quality of ps4 games

You know you want a ps5, then just go for it. I own both consoles and both of them are amazing. So it can only comes down to what games you want to play, and since you want to play those ps5 exclusives, then go for the ps5. The Xb one can still last you another year at least before they fully stop making new games for it and if you buy the xb series in the future, any previous xb games can be play on it

If your friends are on xbox, get the xbox. Then you can do like I did and pick up a ps4 pro for like $200 and buy all the exclusives second hand on fb marketplace or equivalent.

I have a collection of like 11 PS exclusives and they play really nice.

All games are still on PS4 and the PS4 pro is like the Xbox One X. You dont need the ps5 at $700 to play the ps exclusives

I was in the same boat and went with Ps5. You can still use your xbox to play xbox exclusive, game pass games, etc through cloud gaming.

I've had a series S before, so I knew what I was going for.

Honestly, if you have the money, best bet is to get PS5+Xbox series S.

I mostly play ARPGs like Diablo/PoE and Monster Hunter games, so for these 2 genres there are no exclusives and performance for some games is better on series X.

This generation of consoles is actually kind of moving more slowly than we've seen other generations move into next-gen exclusives, so last-gen consoles can still play most of the games available on either system, just not some of the newest titles and a few from launch. It depends on what newer games you want to play - also, most xbox games and some PS5 games are also available via PC.

Newer titles on the horizon are just now starting to lean into exclusivity. Still, there's nothing wrong with holding onto an older Xbox One for a while longer.

I love it. I love the ps exclusives and xbox exclusives didn't really catch my interest that much. The one or two xbox exclusives that I am interested in I could still play them on my xbox so either way I get the best of both worlds.

I would say go after what your interested in if ps exclusives interest you, the dual sense controller interest you, etc then decision made. (Dual sense controller is great too)

I have both Xbox series x and ps5. I’m not a fan boy of either console so will tell you how it is….

PS5 right now which may change…. Is the better console reason for this and i know first hand games run better on the ps5 higher stable frame rates…

Plus I noticed on codmw2 Xbox series x had a really weird weapon motion blur problem with camos nothing to do with my gaming monitor just a problem with Xbox and cod… PS5 does not have the issue which is odd.

Game pass is good I just wish the developers designed and spent more time on the console to utilise the extra power it has… my guess is the population of the PlayStation they spend more time developing the game for this platform.
