Can't Decide, Series X or PS5?

I'm currently trying to decide if I should get an Xbox Series X or PS5. I currently own the Xbox One (original model) and I've never had a PS3 or 4. I've been interested in getting a PS5 as there are many exclusives from both PS4 and 5 that I want to play (FF7 Remake, Spider-Man, Ratchet and Clank, Project Diva Future Tone, to name a few) As for Xbox, there aren't a lot of exclusives I really care about. Halo and Forza are cool but that's all that interests me. The reason I'm also considering a Series X is because I do still own a good amount of Xbox games that I haven't played or finished, and my Xbox One is in pretty rough shape. I've had it for nearly 7 years, and it's a bit beat up. The console often has issues detecting any controller I use so I get controller disconnects frequently, and the console once had a roach problem. Of course, I can just play wired and the Xbox still works, but yeah it's pretty old and beat up.

So basically, it's either upgrade from my old and beat up Xbox One to the new Series X and keep playing my current games on a new and more powerful console, or switch to PS5 and experience a whole new library of games I've never gotten the chance to play. What do you guys think? I've been back and forth on which one I should get.

Since you have an Xbone, get a PS5. It also plays ps4 games.

I think you already knows the answer. PS5 is the right console for you. Especially if you’ve never owned ps before, you have a bunch of games and IP’s to play. Enjoy!

Series X owner here - get a PS5. Man, I really miss the PlayStation library (moved to xbox after ps4).

PS5 seems like the obvious choice for you, plus, if you get a gaming PC, you can play all the Xbox exclusives on it

Series X. The load times and quick resume is insane, and you'll have your old games. You'll also be able to play redfall and starfield which look really nice, and also you can emulate on the series X. Also most games will have X/S upgrades and 4K 60FPS.

I own the series X and highly recommend

I have both and now that PS5 supports VRR and 1440p I would suggest going with a PS5. The adaptive triggers on the controller is dope if you care about it and PlayStation has better exclusives imo.

As someone who has both i would go series X. The gamepass makes it amazing to play and I love halo! But for you the PS5 is the obvious choice seeming you want to play so many playstation games. Plus you can get gamepass on pc or the Xbox you have now. Also i highly recomend god of war and horizon zero dawn. There just phenomenal!

imo get a 5 then a series S if you don't care for 4k gaming and just want game pass games its super cheap as well now.

PS5 right now which may change…. Is the better console reason for this and i know first hand games run better on the ps5 higher stable frame rates…

Plus I noticed on codmw2 Xbox series x had a really weird weapon motion blur problem with camos nothing to do with my gaming monitor just a problem with Xbox and cod… PS5 does not have the issue which is odd.

Game pass is good I just wish the developers designed and spent more time on the console to utilise the extra power it has… my guess is the population of the PlayStation they spend more time developing the game for this platform.

Xbox series X owner here. No doubt, get the PS5. There is literally no games for Xbox that are worth the money. And as far as things are going. There won't be any good games any time soon. Considering to ditch the Xbox and buy PS5. Feel sad thinking that I wasted money on Xbox
