Go outside

HA! I laugh at your joke. It’s too late now, I’m too invested in this to quit.

As funny as it seems I meant that to be taken somewhat seriously.

What you’re experiencing is called “sunk cost fallacy”.

It’s not like I went out and bought all this yesterday, majority of the consoles have been from gifts and from what I’ve calculated it’s been a pretty good ROI in terms of reselling.

If it sparks joy for you keep doing it. I just don’t care about physical media anymore. To me it’s just a waste of space and time. Everything can and always will be on the internet.

Thinking physical media is obsolete is a very common opinion, I have no issue with you having that opinion, I just prefer to own physical media that I grew up consuming and my parents grew up consuming. Plus many people see these as collectors items because everything here has been discontinued so eventually this stuff will start going up in value.

I appreciate the feedback, kind stranger! The PlayStation shelf is definitely the most fleshed out and I need more XBOX games like for the 360 but I’m proud of the entire thing. Mostly the consoles themselves.

Nice one. Any next gen?

Epicrandomperson OP t1_je271f3 wrote

Unfortunately no, next gen consoles are very cool don’t get me wrong, I just don’t have enough spare cash to drop upwards of 750$ on a PS5 mostly waiting for a price decrease or a new more affordable model is released.

I prefer sorting by console then sorting those by series, makes games I want to play easier to find.

A bigger TV!

Epicrandomperson OP t1_je2529i wrote

I 100% do need a bigger TV, been using the same one for console gaming since 2012. That’s easier said than done though.

Your bookcase

Epicrandomperson OP t1_je25l2s wrote

That’s a lesser problem IMO, this one might be dated and the shelves are bending but it works just fine, only reason I’d change it would be for one that’s cosmetically more appealing, you can’t go wrong with free stuff if it works!

Define “good” games, I have my favourite games, you have yours. If games like Red Dead, GTA and Fallout aren’t good, I have no idea what is

rudy_rubenstein t1_je3u2h6 wrote
