Im suprised by how many people said ps5 over xbox x. I have both and find the xbox vastly superier. Runs quicker, smoother, and to an overall higher standard. My ps5 likes to turn itself off, randomly close the game im playing (taking me back to home screen), and ive had multiple issues with corrupted saves. Also size and space wise the xbox is much easier to store. The ps5 is massive and does not fit on any of my shelving units as of yet. I use both, but if i had the choice of one or the other the xbox would be my pick.

Had my PS5 since launch day...

I've only had the crash issue with a handful of games...Cyberpunk being the main one.

Ultimately I would never choose a console for anything else but which games are better. Everything else can be overlooked if you enjoy the games. I had the Series S about 6 months ago only to play FH5 and Halo (which were both excellent btw) but after that there weren't many exclusives that I was interested in.

Bad one, I have had none of those issues in a year and a half of playing my ps5.

But the adaptive triggers blow the Xbox controllers out of the water any day. Also got both consoles. Xbox is barely used while the ps5 is running very often. Never had the issues u describe, at all. The Xbox gui is an atrocity. Both consoles run silent and image quality wise I can’t see any difference on the multi platform titles I got. Also the seldom used Xbox controller already had an issue, that Microsoft won’t resolve for me and I had to fix it myself, while the daily used DualSense never had any issues. The only advantage that Xbox has is the cheap as hell Gamepass, where u can have 3 years for about 120€.

Cool. I have both as well and if I had to pick one, it’d be PS5 because of the things that matter (games).

Most XBOX games are ported to PC

It’s not though is it. All the good PlayStation exclusives, are still exclusives, no pc allowed, apart from days gone and god of war.

Include the recently announced little big planet, recently leaked returnal, the uncharted series that's soon coming out and so on...

I know why they are doing it, they can attract more pc gamers that way perhaps?

There’s no so on though, it’s only 2 games and a brilliant but dated franchise. Literally every Xbox exclusive is on pc and runs like a charm.

Forza is better than Gran Turismo for sure.

I love my PS5, but the PS community overrates Gran Turismo so much. The new one is boring, grindy, and not even very good looking.

I mean statistically the Xbox has the better Hardware but it’s so minor you wouldn’t notice a bit. Really depends what you wanna play. I have an Xbox but that’s what I’ve always had. Xbox is also cheaper if you aren’t in America so that could effect your choice too.

Effectively, buy whatever you want.

You can use a simple monitor for gaming. My work setup doubles as my gaming setup.

I have a PS5. I will still recommend getting an XBOX. With GamePass today, and the direction they’re taking with acquisitions, you’re going to end up with a better value proposition for your games.

If you have a PC, get game game pass for PC and buy a PS5.

Depends on what u prefer honestly like do u like grand turismo or forza more. Other than that you should probably get a new moniter with least hdmi 2.0 4k to get 4k 60 or that sweet 4k 120 which requires hdmi 2.0

If you care about exclusives get a ps5, if you care about the game pass get an xbox.

Xbox has MORE racing games on it, but that doesn’t really matter if it doesn’t have the one you want. Others have mentioned gamepass, which is amazing. As for your laptop, you might be able to use it as a monitor but it depends on the laptop, most likely not, but it’s worth trying.

To answer your question I dont think you can use a laptop monitor because they don't normally have an HDMI in, you would need a different monitor or TV to play it, and i would go ps5 because all of the Xbox exclusive games are also on PC
