Really depends what games you want to play first.

So its gamepass vs PS5 exclusives really (maybe also consider the price differnce between installing a generic fast SSD to the PS5 vs the proprietary more expensive Xbox ones. That is if you plan to extend your storage size) Also do you have any old peripherals or games attached to either platform you would want to continue using?. Do you like owning things physically or even like saving money at all since physical games tend to be cheaper/have better sales/can be bought and sold on the pre owned market? Should also note the PS5 comes with that big set of PS4 games in that PSplus collection thing too. I personally also like gyro aiming that playstation has (but basically never uses for some reason?). For Gamepass you could also consider getting a PC/steam since all Xbox games are available on PC also.

Gamepass is amazing if you’re into that. Definitely a huge reason to go Xbox, but it’s way more important to choose based on what your friends have and what games you want to play.

Yeah if you don’t have any current games Game pass is just gonna be awesome for you. I have both and play my xbox way more. I have the Sony version of gamepass and it’s just not as good. However if you’re into Last of Us or God of War the answer is pretty easy. Don’t let the console warriors get they are both awesome and if you haven’t played in a while you’re gonna be shocked how fast the boot times are and how quick things load!

Don't get the S. You'll end up upgrading to the Series X in no time. I would recommend Series X. Mine gets used a lot. I mean like a lot lot. 😂
