Xbox series S would be my suggestion, you can also put retroarch on it and play PlayStation 2 and earlier games and most of the Nintendo back catalogue if you want, plenty of YouTube videos will show you how, it will be far quieter and quicker than a PS3 and certainly a PS4 as they tent to be quite loud when playing some games (Xbox’s are always quieter). You can pick them up pre owned pretty cheap too.

The 360 is a great console but you have to be careful which one you get due to reliability issues (older consoles often need new thermal paste too). Xbox One is also very cheap and can play about 600 of the 360 games and some original Xbox games and of course it’s own library, you will be able to get the more modern tv apps on there too which may be an issue with the older consoles. Think about what you want but also be aware that older consoles may not offer you what you need
