Hey guys, well it’s been a while now since I did some gaming as i lacked any gaming console in my house for years now, and now I wanted to get back into the club,so I decided to get a console, but currently I’m on a low budget. I want to ask you if I should get a Xbox one og that i found in a very good condition or should I go for the switch lite. Also what some of my friends told me is that Xbox game pass is a really good deal now. so what should I do ?

Well for the time being I can’t afford a series s even a second hand one, they are pretty expensive here in my country, so I gotta choose between the og Xbox one and the switch lite just because they are not that expensive and I can afford them. As you said Xbox game pass is a great deal and it saves me a lot of cash by playing the games available on it unlike the switch lite its games are still expensive but I can afford some from time to time, so it won’t be that bad. even though the Xbox one lets you play a lot of games without paying anything the switch lite is tempting because of the portability. Sorry to say this bro after you’ve said it all but I’m still confused

True that. It struggles with some latest games.

Depends what you want. I love handheld gaming so Switch for me all day long. Plus I've not liked any generation Xbox controller but that is purely personal preference and I have small hands.

Isn’t the screen on the switch lite a bit small to the point where it bother you playing competitive fps games ?

If that's what you're into, I'd say take the Xbox. I'm not a big online gamer but for those who are, I think Xbox is the best of all the consoles.
I am very much a casual gamer myself and like single player adventures.

Tbh I’m into both single players and online but recently I’m enjoying multiplayer more so I guess I’ll go for the Xbox Just one question I want to ask you why Xbox is the best for online gaming ?

They've just always leaned into it more to streamline the experience, going back as far as the 360. They really have been ahead of the curve in that respect and think it still holds true today. The Switch isn't much optimised for it in my opinion.

If you're able to somehow scrounge up enough cash for an Xbox Series S (even second hand) picking this up with Gamepass would be a great deal. For Gamepass if you stack up 3 years of Xbox Live Gold, you can then convert it to Gamepass Ultimate for $1 more effectively netting you 3 years for $60/year. However you can play games on XB1 with XSX performance through game streaming which is pretty sweet if you really can't afford an XSS, but of course that comes with a bit of latency, inability to play local multiplayer, no quick resume, etc.
Switch has a great library, and the Switch Lite hardware itself feels great from the few times I've tried it, but personally without the ability to plug it into a TV makes it a difficult sell. 1st party Nintendo games also always remain expensive, with discounts at most 33% off the original retail price ($56 from $80 in Canada, $40 from $60 in US for example) which means the price could rack up quickly with more game purchases if price is a concern for you. Indie games and 3rd party games tend to have the potential to be cheaper though.
