Hi I'm with Vodafone broadband but the signal.keeps dropping in the back bedroom, which really isn't that far away. I have a spare router which is a TPLink archer 2100 wireless mu-mimo adsl vds.l I was wondering if this router would be a better signal than the Vodafone one or could I connect it upstairs to link to the Vodafone one. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'd use a WiFi booster, I'm sure it'll be a lot quicker to set up. I used one in a thick walled property, and it worked a treat. You just plug it in, connect to router and that's it. Any devices you have connect to it. Good luck either way.

Been with Vodafone for a few years now and only had 1 day when it was down. I get the speed advertised and it works as it should. I did dump their router at the first opportunity though, but I would have also done that with every other ISP as well.

Dump their standard router would be my first suggestion. I have an ASUS one instead that gives me full control over my network. Also, Wi-Fi boosters can help in these situations.

Moving the router to the most central point in the house was what made sure I had decent WiFi coverage throughout tho..

I used to work for Shell Energy Broadband and they're an awful company. They use the TalkTalk network which barely works and that's sublet by BT. I'm with BT now and have gigabit connection, not had any issues in 2 years.
