I’m so sick of having to keep up with changing tech and have been self building pc’s for years. I do t have the time anymore and just want to go console. However, I still want to use keyboard and mouse and understand there are adapters available to do so. I see there are some for $100 or $25 for ex. Can I just go for the cheap one? Are they all basically the same? I dont need anything fancy

Before hand I'd ensure you've got enough games in mind that support M&K.

Yeah, determining what one wants to play is step one; like, even though Cities Skylines on console supports mouse & keyboard, I find it more comfortable to just use the controller, even though the game wasn't "meant" for it.

Xbox One, Xbox One X/S, and Xbox Series all support KB/M. However, only the games that support it too allow use with it. For ex., For Honor, Dauntless, and Subnautica don’t. Minecraft, Roblox (In-game only), and War Thunder, do. It all depends on what you’re playing.

Ok. Even with those high end adapters?

I don’t think so. I personally use a wired kb&m. The adapters are 2.5
