Series X as the main is the no brainer this generation, and a ps4/ps4pro for the few PlayStation exclusives if desired. Sony has epically dropped the ball with the PS5 and there is likely a ps5pro coming soon to better compete with the series X 👍👍

What are you talking about the ps5 has high sales and are continuing to make good exclusives not to say the Xbox series x is bad but you make it sound like the ps5 is on its death bed

The Xbox is clearly the champ this generation. It will take time but if Sony doesn't get off there asses and pivot quickly they could be on there way to there deathbed. They can't rely on exclusives only now that Microsoft has just as many if not more plus the better hardware, platform, services, values etc 👍👍

True services are much better however hardware is comparable as well as pricing

Series X is considerably more powerful, plus Microsoft has considerably cheaper prices as well as free exclusives with gamepass. Sonys going backwards these days

It is not considerably more powerful lol. The Xbox is absolutely more conventionally powerful but the difference isn't particularly large. Not enough for it to really factor into which console you choose. And this is someone who would own a Series X if he didn't already have a PC.

Furthermore, basically every sales estimate I've seen has the PS5 moderately ahead of the X/S.

For example: https://www.vgchartz.com/article/454086/ps5-vs-xbox-series-xs-sales-comparison-may-2022/

The facts say different. The series X is considerably more powerful than the PS5. Look up Sony's comments about the Activision sale to see Sony's situation. Selling more consoles at a loss isn't the name of the game anymore 👍👍
