Not sure, my entire retro collection is digital. Current gen and PC is all digital. I guess if the system has no way of playing games that have been preserved, that could be an issue. But current gen and even last gen, games are unplayable without being able to connect to a server and that's the big issue. Even if you have a disc, it could be rendered useless either way without the ability to connect to the current iteration of the networks.
