I don't have a Isp yet so can't provide any other info but I would like to know in general what minimum bandwidth would be required for all 10 consoles to be able to play simultaneously, and also what hardware to connect them all to the same network. I'm a smooth brain so please explain like I'm 10 thank you

In my opinion you want at least 1Gbps minimum service with a good router and unlimited data. And if you're gonna go the wired route, a 10-port gigabit switch and an ethernet cable of the right length for each console. I have 3 PS5's, 2 PS4 Pro's, 2 OG PS4'S, and one Xbox One S all on wifi with Xfinity 1.2Gbps service with unlimited data. Only once have I had everything going at once. But no one experienced lag. People like to bag on Xfinity. But I've never had any problems with speed or customer service.

So 1000mb connection? 😅

Correct.

Dude, what are you on about, minimum 1Gbps? You’re clueless.
Online gaming uses anywhere from 40-300MB per HOUR.
https://www.domainnamesanity.com/blog/how-much-data-does-online-gaming-use/
That’s 0.66mbps for 300MB/h. 10 consoles wouldn’t even exceed 7mbps. A 50mbps connection would be more than enough let alone 100. 1000 as an absolute minimum? So dumb.
This is barely a third of the bandwidth a standard-def Netflix stream uses, let alone HD, 1080 or 4k.
Think about it - if you need 1Gbps MINIMUM, this would imply (with 10 consoles) people can’t even game with stable 100mbps connections. Does that sound plausible at all?
OP ignore this guy.
Re hardware - a cheap gigabit switch with 12 ports, 10 cables connected between it and your consoles and 1 to go to the router (with a port spare just in case) will do just fine. The fact this guy suggests a 10 port switch also blows my mind, as you’d max out the ports and none of them would be able to connect to the internet…

This, this guy knows. I would have expanded on what I originally said but discovery is its own reward, just pointing you in the right direction.

This is stupid. Completely false. 20mbps will work fine.

Also look for low latency ("ping time") rather than bandwidth. And yes definitely wired ethernet rather than wifi for the same reason.

A basic 1gb switch will do perfectly. Anything more than that is overkill. Just get decent cat 5 cables too and they should connect without issues.
