I was sure it'd be Elden Ring even though Ragnarök would be the bomb. But now that I'm playing it, man the game never gets dull, whenever you think you got it some new gameplay mechanic or new character is introduced. I'm just in awe. I believe Santa Monica is going for the second goty award this year.

I basically didn't play horizon zero dawn because I didn't like the look of it. I didn't even get past young aloy. But from the tiny bit of gameplay I've seen of FW, it looks pretty good. Elden ring takes it for me. I don't know where to go because km stuck on this one part due to its difficulty but I've got about 24-48 hours of playtime and I love it. I'm playing other games at the moment so I can't really find time. But elden ring deserves GOTY. haven't played ragnarok or stray but stray can't be goty anyway since it's an indie game and AAA games outnumber them almost all the time (coughs cyberpunk)

Stray is a fine game, I enjoyed it, but its not GOTY quality imo. Elden Ring, Horizon or maybe GoW (still playing) should win for me

It's hard to decide, since Ellden ring is amazing, (but easy as fuck) gow has a far better story and etc...

It's a really bad year for games if these are the nominees. It's not that any are bad, but two of them are GotW material at best. Given that Elden Ring seems to be a contender for one of the greatest of all time (I didn't like it) then I'd be surprised if this didn't win.
