Nah don't do it, quest is cool, but it's no way near a replacement for a console

Maybe sell the Xbox then, I'd keep the switch though because you can use it on the go. It's only when it's gone where you'll find yourself in a situation where it would have been perfect 🤣

Personal opinion here, Dump the switch and keep the Series S, save up the rest of the cost for the Quest and have both. :)

Recently got my hands on a quest 2 and it gets used every day by at least one of me or the teens.

The Switch joycons will 100% start drifting eventually, if they haven't already. My Switch is thrown in a box in the loft as I have 6 pairs of drifting joycons now and I absolutely refuse to buy anymore. WORST NINTENDO CONSOLE EVER imo.

Cannot fault the Series X and Gamepass combo at the mo!

Can’t you just send the joycons to Nintendo and they’ll fix them? I’m a rare case of owning a switch since December of 2017 and mine still hasn’t developed drift. I’m sure it’s on the horizon, but small victories for now.

You could sell the consoles and keep the money. What kind of games would you play on the oculus? Would you really use it?

Maybe sell the Xbox and start saving The Xbox is so good but I'd rather have a backup as a switch as it's portable and very usable

My answer would be preowned vive if you got the room but if not a oculus quest connect to a PC is amazing

Don't agree, VR is still at the early stages of its tech but it'll improve over the next couple of years, including software tweaks that'll make the quest 2 better.

3dtv's didn't have a whole host of game Devs and players behind them watching the new releases and the tech evolve and working along side it.

VR is here to stay, I doubt it will reach zucc's dream, and it will probably remain primarily in the gaming space. But it's not going anywhere.

Not in my memory. As I recall 3dtv's where always regarded as a gimmick, at least where I'm from... Most people never even liked 3d at the cinema, and barely anybody bought one.

I think the main difference is, 3dtv was a dumb gimmick added on top of an already fine platform. (Don't fix what ain't broken). But VR is an entirely new platform, and it's very engaging

A lot of people are happy to do exactly that, so I'm just checking, but either way, only time will tell which one of us is right

It's not that deep lol, but I do hope I'm right. Not to say I told you so, but because I find VR very fun and I want more experiences with it

Probably true, but I don't care if it's mainstream, so long as it's still available and supported I will be happy
