Wii, there's literally nothing else to do, also getting a driving simulator won't do shit

The gym is a fun game, it has a subscription based model like a MMO

Naw I get it, most gym equipment is boring and having a game to play while exercising can make it a lot more fun

If a treadmill is boring, isn’t doing enough on the treadmill itself to me, like going a bit more intense, getting out of breath, changing the incline and so on. I couldn’t be focused playing a game and run, its one or the other, I’d only do 90 minutes intense and game later anyway. I’d only use a bit of music for that 90 minutes or something else stops the run. If treating running as a game, then some video game music could very sell be part of the entertainment.

Nintendo Wii. You have Zumba, Wii Fit Plus as the main exercise games plus others that I can't think of

Though an exercise machine, or a set of them could cost about the same in money and space as any PC, console and VR necessary for space.

Yeah but the PC and VR has multiple other uses. Much more value than overpriced gym equipment.

Meta Quest 2 (I hate that name, it’ll always be Oculus Quest to me!) is really the best and only choice. Beat Saber, Thrill of the Fight (boxing), Pistol Whip (squats), and lots more will wear your ass out. People have lost 40+ pounds when combined with diet improvements…I think there’s a sub called vrfitness or something? (on mobile).

Hand tracking is 1:1 and super precise. Leg tracking isn’t there, but supposedly Supernatural will include knee lifts soon (subscription requires for that app though, to pay for trainers and music licensing).

I had Xbox One with Kinect for fitness, and this is miles better.

I used a buddies quest 2 I agree you definitely are moving a bunch even in games like super hot. Only con I would see is after a little while you start getting headaches or dizzy

You could try and go for vr gaming? I mean you'll be standing and moving mostly.

I recently got an Xbox 360 E with a Kinect and Kinect adventures has given me much more of a workout than my Wii has ever done

I know that the Switch has a game called RingFit that a fair few people that I know enjoy, not sure about anything else on the console and have no idea what's on PlayStation or Xbox (Maybe Just Dance qualifies?)

As for PC, most of what comes to mind is on virtual reality, Beat Sabre is the main one I'm thinking of but there's plenty of fitness apps as well. No idea if PCVR or Quest would be a better idea as far as that's concerned but it's a weird time to buy VR sets because better headsets are around the corner.

A treadmill works best, if you want to play actual games though no console will actually help you exercise other than an oculus quest, if you really want to exersice while playing games pick up a quest. But the best option is just going to a gym or doing home exercises
