None of them have an issue with input lag or we'd all be hearing about it. Choose whichever console has the games you want to play.

If input lag is a concern then you need to make sure you get the right TV and configure it correctly.

i know its not an issue, i just want whats lowest. i have the tv and monitor for it but i wanna know the difference in the delay even if its slight

There might be an insignificant amount of difference between the consoles. Your choice of TV or monitor can add a huge amount of difference.

The difference in time will be literal milliseconds, wouldn’t give you a advantage or disadvantage in anything

Not really sure input lag is going to end up being a huge deal aside from titles with classic games that have less than ideal emulators.

I have both and did not have any issues regarding input lag with casual usage. There might be someone willing to perform any test if you want something specific.

What makes the Series X the no brainer?

If someone is interested in playing God of War, Gran Turismo and Spiderman then the Series X would be the wrong choice, not the no brainer. Both consoles have their strengths but neither of them is right for everyone.

It just doesn't make sense to buy a Series X if you want to play games that are only on PlayStation. Also, PS4 support will fade away and new games will be current gen only.

A handful of games? There are a ton of games you can play on PlayStation but not on Xbox. It would be short sighted to buy the last gen PS4 when you could get a PS5 and play both existing games and new ones to come. There has never been an instance where the previous console has continued to get support throughout the newer consoles life, so PS4 support absolutely will disappear. I'm not sure you're right about PS4 still being manufactured either... They certainly don't seem to be available at retail in the UK. I'm not trying to say PS5 is the better choice over a Series X. All I am saying is that you can't say the Series X is the right choice either.

Where can I buy a new PS4?

Who's beating Gran Turismo in 10 to 20 hours?

I'm pushing 40hrs on GT7, enjoying it and only just scraping the surface. I had no idea it was received badly though... I'm curious so I'll look into that!

I think you might be referring to user reviews, from people who were pissed about microtransactions being added. As far as I can tell crtitics have given generally good reviews.

I chose Expert Mode on the initial setup screen and then manually turned off corner markers and reduced traction control. The cars handle great in my opinion... it's very typical simcade controls that I'd expect from Gran Turismo.

My only complaint is the occasional frame skips, but I am on PS4 pro, so I'd be curious to see how it runs on a PS5.

PS4 is still being manufactured, Xbox One stopped manufacture in 2020

Interesting because pre-owned is the only option here in the UK.

Sony themselves said production would continue throughout 2022

Yeah a Google search validates that claim - they made a statement in January. Perhaps it was only for certain regions though because they definitely aren't available the UK and haven't been for a while. That other guy said you can walk into a store in North America and take a PS4 off the shelf.

As someone who owns Both. The PS5 is the no brainer for sure. Yeah you can play some exclusives on the ps4, but not all of them ( I.E. Rachet, Returnal, Demon's souls etc.). And why would you want to play the ps4 version of multigenerational exclusives when ps5 versions are so much better. Ps5 has better exclusives, better controller, the PS plus premium tier is better than gamepass at this poin

compared to pc gaming yea id say so, it depends on the tv. my xbox one even on my 1ms response time monitor theres a difference in delay compared to my pc. there are small differences in input lag based off different consoles (compare a nintendo switch to an xbox one and it will be very delayed even compared to the xbox). looking for whatever has the best delay and going from there
