Xbox One will play all but 4 of the same games as Xbox Series X and you can probably get one for $120.

I agree but it is literally a PC and not really "Jump in and play" as a traditional console would be.

tl;dr: Steam deck is amazing but only get it if you know what you're getting/what you want it for.

Make sure you know of the games you want to play are supported as there are a few games that have the supported tag but aren't anymore because they don't get updated after the first verification. Yet.

Some games can play even if they are labelled as unsupported but there might be some things you need to do first like use a specific version of proton or install the github build.

What steam is doing for linux gaming is fantastic but its far from streamlined or standardized atm.

Power isn’t everything. The whole point is portability which an Xbox doesn’t have, it’s great for co-op as many seek that, and it grants you access to the Nintendo library. It’s about preferences, not just power.

It’s not meant to be impressive. The average person doesn’t care about having the greatest graphics, and that’s why the switch sells like hotcakes. Even then, the games Nintendo makes don’t need it. They know how to optimize games to look the best they can with what they’re given. And I’m literally playing super smash bros right now at 60. If you personally care a lot about graphics that’s great, but just because of your preferences the switch isn’t overpriced. People buy consoles based on their needs, and the switch suites the needs of those that recognize graphics don’t make a console.

Also, where the hell do you find Xbox for that cheap??? That’s either a shitty conditioned console, or a terrible seller.

Ahh, you’re that kind of guy. You only care about graphics and think the switch is for kids. Games are about fun. Just because it doesn’t have every title be m rated or focus on graphics doesn’t make it bad. The sales speak for itself. Nintendos decision to focus on the fun and innovation of the switch was clearly the right choice. I don’t see why you can’t comprehend that graphics aren’t everything. What do you want? For every console to be the exact same? For them all to only focus on making stationary boxes of just good graphics? The console market would have less life if it was just ps and Xbox. The switch brings a fun colourful and portable option to the table. There’s a reason the switch appeals to general audiences more than either of the other ones.
