Isnt the switch controller pretty limited with a couple of buttons? How would Minecraft work out in a 2-player split mode? Or would it require 4 controllers?

For Minecraft it requires two pairs of controllers or a pair of controllers and a pro controller or two pro controllers

I actually have to really discourage from mine craft on switch specifically. It runs REALLY REALLY BAD. Barely playable. But I still think the switch would be best for a kid. The first party lineup and many indie games are great but I'd check performance reviews for third party stuff before buying it. Especially for car rides and on the go in general the switch is best.

Thanks, thats a bummer. They love similar games with blocks on the pad. Not planning to use it anywhere else than at home on the TV.

With the Xbox series S, you can play comfortably with him (is look for a small 3rd party controller).

If you're not huge into Nintendo type games there's more diversity for games you both enjoy

It’s not that bad, it loads slow sometimes but not all the time

The switch has the same amount of buttons as the other consoles... They're pretty standard. It's not the NES.
