i have been debating for a long time which console I should get. I have a ps4 slim 500gb and I want another console. personally a Nintendo console or something other than PlayStation and Xbox. I want 1st party games since my ps4 can play any of these games. I've been thinking of getting a GameCube I personally don't want a Wii cuz I've been thinking of getting a Wii u. And am not gonna emulate at all please tell me which one I should get.

My personal rec would be a switch oled. You get a handful of incredible first party current gen games and decades worth of classics on the online system. If not that then find yourself a ps2 and go nuts with the best game library of all time.

If your OK with emulation (really good emulation) I highly recommend the steam deck, can pretty much play any console before the ps3 and 360, can play some ps3 and 360 games, can even run many switch games too, can emulate wii U also I'm pretty sure, also runs modern games like elden ring at higher framerates than ps4, Spiderman, god of war, uncharted all on steam deck, did I mention you hold it in your hands and can take it anywhere you want just like a switch?

It'd up to u I did do that before and bought a switch but only played a few games and within the week I returned it for full price so get whatever u really think looks good because you might end up not really using it but I hope u find the one u want

If you want a next gen console, I think you have to buy xbox series x because has a better hardware than PS5 and it is easy to find in the stores. If you want an old gen, for me ps3 super slim is a good console

I know that you don’t want to get a wii, but the earlier models are backwards compatible with GameCube, easier to store, and much cheaper. You get everything you would get from a GameCube with a much more generous price tag.

You can restore GC support on WiiU with homebrew and you can also play Xbox games on PC using Xbox play anywhere
