Yeah, that is one part. But part of console appeal is simplicity.

Everyone needs a computer. Why not have that computer be able to spank the ps and Xbox at gaming performance?

yep this is partly what i meant when i stated ideoligical reasons, everyone needs to use a computer so why not start now?, i also kind of think this is a bad reason to give to console players imo, it might make them think that gaming on a PC is like doing word or something like that.
