I really hate how MS eliminated their 6 months and 1 year Xbox live gold plans. I know they're trying hard to push us all onto Game Pass but this is just utterly stupid in how they're doing it. Some of us just want to play online and that's it and they're now charging twice as much just for basic online gameplay. Meanwhile Ps4/Ps5 is having a $35 for a full year of PSN plus essential. Thank god I don't have most of my library on the Xbox or else this would really suck. It definitely makes it less of an incentive for me to buy more games on Xbox especially with how expensive it is just for online gaming.

You can buy Gold on Amazon right now. $35 for 6 months $60 for a year. PS plus is on sale for $30 ending today, then it's literally the same price as Xbox gold tomorrow. They normally cost the same amount and let's be real is a temporary sale of $30 over a year that huge a deal lol? You're mad and don't even have your facts straight.

My facts are pretty straight. Sounds like you're the one with the incorrect facts. I can see that you can still get XBL on Amazon. But sooner or later those keys won't be there anymore. And then people will have to resort to getting them through MS and all they have is 1 or 3 month. Not hard to understand. And those codes on Amazon are not on sale, at least not in my country. So your facts are wrong on that. PS plus on the other hand has it done correctly with the tiers and with the discount. I got the 50% deal yesterday for PS Plus. I don't appreciate how MS is trying to force everyone onto XGP with restricting our options. If their purpose is enticing me to have all my games on Sbox then they're doing a bad job. Because all this reminds me is the freedom that exists on PC. Even the playstation has more freedom of choice than Xbox right now for online gaming. That's just a fact.

The PS tiers are confusing as hell and most people have no idea what they mean lol. I don't. I'm glad you got PS plus on sale but it's the same price as Xbox. So what happens next year if you have to pay full price? I love a deal as much as anyone but are you always gonna get this mad about $30 lol when new games cost $70 but you don't want game pass. If you're a PC guy you're on the wrong sub, of course a computer is going to have more options and choices, with a console you're buying into a system.

Last I checked I live in a free society and I can go on any sub I want. I'm offering a real critique on Xbox and all you're doing is dismissing it as stupid lol. All this does is make MS look greedy trying to force ppl to go on the Gamepass when it costs more and i don't need it. They PS tiers are actually pretty simple to understand if you can read at a grade 1 level. It literally takes 10 seconds to read the summary of it described on the screen lol. If ppl didn't understand there would be a bigger uproar on the playstation which is the best selling console of this gen currently. What makes no sense is MS not allowing 6 or 12 month renewals in an effort in trying to force people to go XGP. And again no Xbox live costs $70 for the 12 month digital code on Amazon in my country and there was no deal for it. PS had both deals on 12 month game cards and renewals. If your argument is that MS shouldn't be competing against PC then that's even more stupid than it sounds.

Sooner or later those codes will run out and then all we're left with is 1 or 3 months.

Some of us only play a few games and don't need XGP. Some of us prefer physical copies and some of us prefer digital only games. I don't criticize your gameplaying style so you shouldn't criticize others.

As a casual that does not play a lot of titles and prefers physical disks, I understand where you are coming from. It's not THAT big of a deal though, and perhaps this is something worth considering from another angle instead of taking a bitter stance towards something you've invested in to bring you joy or distraction from the negative. I find myself getting lost in the catalog of GP and cloud games and trying new things. I've saved money by not buying at least one or two physical games, and also found one or two new games I never would've found otherwise. We all know how priceless a new "forever" game is, right? In the grand scheme of things, the extra couple of bucks for game pass truly is money very well spent, even for guys like us. Consider splurging on yourself in this case and let the system do what you got it to do- entertain you.
