As the title said, I need some advice.

I'd like to play sometimes when im in bed, bus or at school, i mainly play survival games, recently got back into skyrim, i play on steam.

My dilemma is, Switch or Deck? I have a decent amount of steam games, 200+, and i figured that it would be cool to have access to a large part of my library anywhere.

On the other hand, i find the switch (lite), a more comfortable solution, more expensive seen the price of the games and the little cd key retail market.

Which woukd you choose and why?

I'm a little biased because I own a Nintendo switch and also hadn't heard of the other console but yes after some small research:

I'd choose the Nintendo switch.

I know the games are a little expensive but the sales in the store are not to bad.

Doesnt the switch still use a 2015 chip? It's almost 2023, it's hard to recommend an outdated console tbh

If you're on a tight budget and you play one game for a long time switch is the way to go.

If you can spend 600-1300$ on your handheld, you should probably look into other windows based handhelds like Ayaneo Air that are as small and light as switch but can also run your steam library.

But if you think there's a chance you can overcome SD's bulkiness it's 100% the best choice out of everything for today's market

The Steam Deck is more powerfull but more expensive. But the Switch also has a decent library for a lower price. If any Nintendo franchises interest you, and your on a tight budget, the Switch will be fine for you. But if you don't care about the money and want the better thing, Steam Deck is the way to go.

I have both and I don’t think you could go wrong either way. I agree with everyone else that if comfort and portability are your biggest concerns, you can’t beat the Switch. The eshop sales are decent if you’re patient, too – I recommend making a wishlist on DekuDeals, which will give you email alerts for price drops on games you want!

Deck for performance, Switch for games.

I'd go with the Switch Oled for better screen quality, better form factor, excellent Nintendo exclusives, better battery life and the option of buying physical games.

Id get a steam deck the winter summer autumn sales are amazing it’s a portable PC if you think about it and switch the sales aren’t that bad but you have to pay for Nintendo online for some exclusive game titles like splatoon 3 and so on it starts getting costly but with steamdeck everything’s there and you don’t need a subscription to play any games

With all honesty the steam deck can emulate switch games pretty reliably. I collect games so I need to own the physical copies on switch but if you’re okay emulating then just go to the steam deck.

switch if you’re a fan of nintendo games and steam deck if you prefer anything else

steam deck, you can run an emulator and play like every Nintendo game ever made. Switch isn't worth anywhere close to the asking price with the Deck out now.

If you already have 200+ games on steam I would get the steam deck, cause games nowadays cost $80 Canadian, or $70 USD

I’m in Canada, I and I have absolutely no idea how much the euro is worth, I know it’s worth more that USD and Cad, but not much else

I do like the OS of the switch better, but with how much money you have put into steam games, I’d say go for the one that allows you to play such games on the go, and with Sony exclusives slowly trickling into steam, the steam deck can kinda be like a ps vita into a way, but also allowing for other games, ultimately your gonna get enjoyment out of both, it’s just your gonna have to spend like an extra 350 euros creating an expansive library

Yeah that is what convinced me on deck... i mean, i could emulate some switch games too 👀

That’s possible too, but harder on the steam deck than on pc, cause it’s not a mini pc, I do not believe you get access to the files
