I've had 3 consoles in 4 years. 2 - PS4's and 1 Xbox one S And they won't work/ turn on anymore. I gave 1 ps4 to my friend and he said he fixed it, that it was the Hard drive I think. Do I just have bad luck or what? I take care of my consoles. I dont hit them or anything like that

Do you put them in a dusty environment? Do you download lots of games? How hardcore of a gamer are you?

I used to game a lot in my first ps4. I didn't really play much on the Xbox one and new ps4. Ps4 was a gift from my cousin. I just watched Netflix hulu etc

Was it a dusty environment? Did you download many apps on it?

Alittle not that much. They're in between the TV stand with good airflow

Still, might want to take a look inside ( watch a good guide first and make sure you know what you're doing) so you can check the fans/ intakes to see if they have been clogged up. You can also try replacing the HDD with an SSD but that can be costly

Okay. My place is kinda messy at times cuz of my younger siblings but that's about it. I'll check it out and clean them. Thank you

Check if there's eletricity problem in your house, had a problem with a console of mine and I discovered it was the eletricity of my house. Dont know what was but never had any problem anymore.

When xbox hard drives die it usually makes the console boot to black screen. It's pretty easy to replace hard drives in both ps4 and xb1s though.

They just die all the time. I get 2 or 3 in my work a week for HDD replace. We use 1TB ssd's.

Do you pull the power rather than shutting down correctly?
