I have an xbox series x but I am going to return it because its expensive, I don't use it enough and I'm not super crazy about the new madden game. All I want to do is casually play NBA 2k, Wii Sports, Wii Play, Wii Sports Resort, Mario Kart Wii, NHL, Madden, UFC, and Fifa. I think a series S with gamepass and an actual wii would be my best bang for the buck but I'm not sure with dolphin emulator and everything. I don't mind that the sports games come out late on gamepass. Honestly I am willing to roll with an older console too but just the value is so excellent with game pass and the s. What do you guys think?

The S is great. Look out for a Wii U rather than a Wii, it's a far better machine and plays all of the Wii discs.

S is alright if you’re not bothered about power or graphics output, you can’t be if you’re also considering the Wii. Only thing to remember is the S is digital only, so you won’t be able to play games then sell on, it’s pricier digital downloads only. You can still get Gamepass on last gen Xbox consoles that still take discs and would cost less second hand.

The Nintendo Switch is probably your best bet if you’re in the casual gaming market.

I’d say ps5 BUT it is a bit heavy, expensive, rare and also isn’t for very causal gaming

All consoles are expensive haha. If you want to play mostly sports games, just keep the X. It’s your best performance out there right now. Game Pass and buying physical or digital games on sale is hard to beat. You’ve already bought the console, just enjoy it.

The S is fine for now for digital only, but over the life of the console, the X will be pushed to its limits by developers and it will perform much better than the S long term. The X has 3x the processing power, and true 4K where the S can only run 1440p. That’s a big difference when it comes to games like sports titles especially. Just save up and get a Switch too if you want to play both Nintendo and Xbox.

Agree for casual play. Except that the Switch can’t begin to compete with Xbox when it comes to sports titles unless someone enjoys playing only Wii Sports. Games like Madden, 2K, and The Show aren’t close graphically or performance wise.

The Xbox S is pretty awesome, I started with that. If my partner didn’t get me an X I would still have my S If you’ll never dock it the switch lite is great. Lots of games available there but never get refunds
