On black Friday then you could buy a console for 250 dls. I fail to see your point, is still 500dls cheaper. And I am not sure a RX 6700XT can manage 4k at 60 fps

For $750 you get a PC much more powerful than a $500 console. You can drop to an older CPU, and an older GPU to match the console power if you want. But yes, I wouldn't run the 6700xt at 4k native resolution, just like the consoles don't run 4k native resolution. But that console could easily play A Plague Tale: Requiem at 60fps, which the new consoles can't do. Same with Gotham Knights.

And going forward when more games on console are locked to 30fps, you would have the option of running those games at 60fps.

Yes. We agree.

Technically you could hunt down components, have really good luck and with some effort you could save a couple hundred to match a console.

But in normal circumstances, a more "default" price would be near 1000. Take into consideration you must know what you are buying, do research, compare benchmarks, check compatibility, know what are you going to use your rig for, etc. With consoles you just buy it.

Surely next year will be even cheaper to build a rig like-new gen.
