Is it a flaw or does it actually help us to build strong, high-trust communities which can protect us from outside threats and make us more prosperous?

I mean yeah, evolutionarily it has its basis in a functional trait. But there's no denying that it's lead us to all kind of problems.

It's not much of a threat if it's only a perceived threat because of a bias and nothing else
