Not at the moment. Game Pass is a great deal, but PlayStation's first party games are better. PlayStation's UI, Game DVR, Share Play, and Share Screen features put the console on top for me.
Xbox still has a ways to go. They haven't had a compelling first party game in years. They have one now in Starfield, but we don't even know if that's coming out this year.

In the future? It's possible, but it all depends on how they utilize these acquisitions and what these studios can create in terms of a first party library. Xbox also needs to work on appealing to a broader market outside the United States. PlayStation is more popular because Sony does a better job marketing their system in more console markets. Xbox also needs a better game DVR and more social features like Share Screen and Share Play.

Forza and halo are the only good exclusives on the xbox while there are so many good exclusives on the Playstation along with the fact that Sony is a more consumer friendly companys.

Nintendo through beats both at the exclusives so i own both a playstation and a switch but not a xbox (i can play most of the xbox exclusives on pc anyways)

I've always preferred Playstation to everything else since the PS1 days. I've always owned an Xbox as well, but last generation I didn't get a new Xbox until the One X came out. The One truly was a piece of shit IMO.

That said, I got a Series X a few months after getting my PS5, and while initially I was still booting my PS5 up more often than the Series X, things sort of changed throughout 2022 and now I find my PS5 is mostly just an exclusives machine these days. Things like Quick Resume, and the overall UX of the Xbox I find to be a tad better than PS5. Not to mention Discord integration which has been huge being able to VC with my PC friends not having to rely on the in game voice chat services.

Of course there's GamePass as well, but I won't go too far into that since everyone knows the deal there already. Yes, it's great. Yes, I find myself playing way more games than I normally would due to GamePass, but I digress.

Overall, I've found myself falling more and more out of love with the main Playstation exclusives. 3rd person narrative driven action adventure titles just don't really do it for me anymore.

I personally don't see myself booting up my PS5 until FF16 comes out. Until then, everything is getting played on the Series X. And man, this year looks like it could be real big for Xbox. Won't hold my breath because, ya know, fool me once and all that. We shall see we shall see.

To be fair.. On a per device level they are about the same.. On what basis dk you think xbox is better? What are you using to measure the weight of that statement?

They’re essentially identical. I find I lean Xbox because that’s what my friends have. A while since I’ve had PS (PS3) so things have probably moved on but prefer Xbox interface and controller, but that will also be familiarity.

They’re both brilliant. Arguing about it is stupid.

Has been for years. Sony has awful network security, their exclusivity campaigns are hypocritical BS, and their community is toxic AF.

PlayStation is the Pontiac Sunfire of video games: yeah they sold a lot on release, but wouldn’t you rather have a Camaro?

PS5 way better than Series X and I’m not talking specs. More immersive, better games and just a better Next Generation feel overall.

My first non portable console was a PS2, so I’ve stayed with PlayStation since then. It’s that simple.

It's up too your individual preference. Competition in the console market is a good thing. We actually need more.

Well definitely not me Xbox has zero exclusives Games & a Controller thats Stuck in 2005 Compared to PlayStation who has some amazing exclusives games like God of war & Spider man & a really awesome controller that has so many features that the xbox controller just doesn’t have like Gyro a touch pad adaptive triggers-haptic feedback-light bar a mic & speaker & the Xbox doesn’t even have a built in battery which is just stupid & with exceptions of the Xbox elite Controller & Xbox adaptive controller the Xbox controller really hasn’t changed that much since the 360 controller & i just don’t se the point in upgrading from Xbox one to Xbox series X/S which btw Xbox series X/S is an absolutely retarded name for a console & literally the only difference really differences between Xbox one & series X/S is higher specs & a share button on the controller which btw PlayStation has had for decade now & the home menu/Dashboard literally hasn’t changed like at all its the exacted same as the Xbox one menu/dashboard like at least PlayStation actually did something other then just up the specs like a redesign controller which haptic feedback & adaptive triggers & ooh yeah PlayStation has Vr which Xbox just doesn’t have
