Thinking of finally buying a next gen console. Or I guess the current gen. Should I go with PS5 now that they are easily available or go for an Xbox series X?

Ps5 for exclusives and controller.

Xbox for Gamepass and Bethesda.

Pick your poison 🥴

Depends on you, for me it's not worth it, just buy a reasonably priced headset and a battery charger separately, search on amazon for best deals and don't forget the Gamepass trick.

But don't forget that playstation is also a good choice if you don't care about paying 90CAD for new games and their subscription service has amazing titles since the revamp to PS Plus.

Good luck buddy 😌

As I said, you have to do some research, can't recommend any since i don't use headphones 😗.

Btw series S is an amazing deal if you just want Bethesda exclusives on Xbox while keeping playstation as your main console.

And no, while there are no tricks to PS Plus membership, they sometimes drop a 50% discount on Ps plus price on big sales if you want bucks for your money, just gotta be patient 😉

PS plus has 3 tiers Essential, extra, and premium. Essential has only play, monthly games, cloud saves and some other stuff, Extra has everything essential has and a game catalogue functioning similarly to game pass, with new games being added every month.
Premium has what extra has but you can get PS3, PS2, and PS1 games and also game trials.

Prices vary per area but where I live premium isn't worth it so IMO if I could I would go extra, cause some of those games are really good and can last you a long time

Xbox= upscaled backwards compatible library in gamepass, more power but at the end of the day not noticeable depending on display being used , aesthetically more pleasing, quick resume

Ps5=native video in-game audio recording,better controller ,UI , and exclusives .

I'm tempted to go back to PS5 for the first reason i listed

Think Sony have a blockbuster list of games now, along with the controller haptics I don’t think there is much competition anymore. Psvr2 imminent too

Depends what you want really.

Xbox has gamepass which is miles ahead of what Sony had. Also lots of cloud gaming and cross compatibility with PC platform which is great if you play across multiple devices. Xbox controller is also better designed and more comfortable or if you want to use a keyboard and mouse then most of them will just work with an xbox. It also looks better and takes up less space.

PlayStation is good if you're into your third person single player story games. It also has a larger install base so you're more likely to find people playing MP on PlayStation but most major games are supporting Crossplay now.

Ps5 for the exclusives, also PS plus premium has a metric ton of games for download and streaming.

Well you do have an alternative for Gamepass on PS5 too, the new Plus system is IN MY OPINION (I've tried both) better than the Gamepass. It's more expensive but you have so much more heavier and overall better titles to play there

This guy nailed it. No one will say anything more fitting.

I was always a PS fan boy then with shortages of consoles I figured I'd get a Series X . Gamepass has tremendous value especially if you re a PC gamer. I never liked the idea of a subscription service but it is better, no more paying $80 for a game and finishing it and never playing it no more.

The PS5 controller is better though. The feel, the layout. You can use your index fingers on the d pad while still using the left analog stick which is great for switching items while moving your character etc. The Xbox controller you have to use your right hand on the dpad if you want to move as you change items or get the Elite 2 controller and bind the dpad to the paddles. Be warned the Elite 2 Will break on you at some point. They re great while they last. I had one for a few years then went through 3 in 3 months so it depends.

If you have a gaming PC, PS5.

If you don't, Series X.

I own a PS5 and a gaming PC, but if I didn't own my PC I'd have bought a Series X for the game pass.

In saying that ALL my favourite games are PlayStation exclusive (GoT, GoW, etc.)

I'd definitely choose Series X but PS5 is okay I guess. I'm a Xbox fan so I'd definitely try to persuade you to get an Xbox 😬

It really comes down to how desperate are you to play the ps5 exclusives like the last of us, uncharted, ratchet and crank etc. I had the same dilemma last month and went series x mainly because it’s a bit cheaper, backwards compatibility, looks much better overall, game pass. I’m not a heavy gamer. I do still want to play the last of us though
