I currently own a Xbox series X, ps4 that my dad handed down to me, and a switch. I’ve been pretty happy with the ps4 but I’m wondering if I should upgrade it to the 5 since I heard PlayStation is shifting towards ps5 only releases in 2023. I have the subscription for both consoles so I get the digital library of games on top of whatever I purchase. Admittedly I do play my Xbox series X more because of the graphics. However I don’t want to miss out on PlayStation exclusives in the future🥺 My local Best Buy has them in stock for the first time since ps5 was released so I’m a tab worried about missing out. What do you all think? Have you been in this spot before? Lol

YES.. i have both and when one console isnt producing the games i like, the other is there with something always of value to play. Already know im spending nearly 500-600 dollars in ps5 games this year alone!

Well the move would be to sell the ps4 and upgrade to the ps5. And I’m not sure if it’ll make a different hence my question in the post asking that hahaha

Well the only thing it would be for is just the exclusives so is there exclusives that you would justify spending that much money for. I was always a PS fan boy but it was easier to get a series X so I got a series X and honestly I was again subscription services but game pass is so tremendously valuable that I love it and I ended up buying a PlayStation 5 as well for you know the Grand Turismo and stuff and it is nice because certain games go on sale at certain time so it is kind of it is nice but of course you pay a lot of much a lot of money up front

I have it from day one (preorder) and still play majority of games on ps4 and xbox one x. I played few ps5 exclusives but for that it isn't worth it...could played them later on...imho
For me the only "next-gen" thing on ps5 is dual sense....everything else is 10% better PS4 Pro...

I would wait a while. If there aren't any PS5 exclusives you're dying to play rn then there's no need to buy it. Eventually later on if you absolutely want it, the new slim or pro or whatever might be out or you can buy a used one or digital.
