It reminds me of the chrysalis alien from X-COM UFO Defense.
Very high resistance, and will easily turn an entire city into zombies.

Worse of all, once they die, another of those aliens comes to life.
If not controlled early on, they are an absolute hellish enemy

I played that game when I was little.
