Time to quit your boring corporate job and become a ticket taker! It’s a booming field!

I literally don't understand that job. What are you supposed to be doing as a ticket taker or an usher?

You stand outside a theatre or in the aisle of a sporting event, and turn people away if they don’t have a ticket, or take the ticket and rip it in half if they do. Occasionally help people find their seats.

Well that was useless. I suppose we will need to find more things for retirees to do, but ticket takers? I'm sure also that the increase in athletes comes as a relief for those who want to become pro superstars. The chances to become rich and famous just became so much greater.
