I'm not familiar with your area or Calflora, but you might also consider utilizing iNaturalist data!

Yeah iNaturalist is great and i use it a ton, but it gets tricky when you want to get into the specific nuances of a plant genus. Misidentifications can be pretty common and Eriogonum is notorious for being hard to identify. That's why i chose Calflora because it's mostly botanists who make these observations and it's just a little more trustworthy imo.

I went species by species screenshoting a range map, then manually transferring those points over to a single layer on a map.

[OC] I wanted to map out all the species in the genus Eriogonum for my area. Each dot is an observation and each color represents a different species.
