Data was tracked using google maps, just writing down the miles for each trip. Return trips were counted for their original purpose, and minor detours were calculated by taking the normal trip length and subtracting the trip length, putting the rest into its category. Tool used was the chart maker in google sheets.

Yikes, you spend a lot of time in your vehicle.

As well as distance, it would be interesting to see the total amount of time these journies take. I expect this data represents 50-70 hours of driving!

You could also use your car odometer / trip computer to track the actual milage, and compare that to Google's estimates.

True, but my odometer doesn't do fractions of miles. Each trip to school is about 1.33hrs there and back, to work is about an hour total. Assuming I go to work 5 days a week and school three days a week, I'm looking at a minimum of around 40 hours over a month. Most of my time driving is on the interstate, so it goes fast

Wow, I’m guessing you live about 40 miles away from school, and about 15 miles away from work? That’s a lot of commuting.
