where is kering in all this? they have Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Alexander McQueen and Yves Saint Laurent.
i can’t believe they are negligible compared to these groups, particularly when you list “other” as 68%

“Other” at 65% makes me doubt this entire thing. Why leave out such a massive chunk?

It’s “Market Share”, it’s not plural.
Also, if you’re going to do categorical colors on the donut, why not carry the colors to through to the bars? It helps the eye and brain correlate.
I can’t see the data because it’s behind a login, but it is strange there’s just this “other” huge category, but I understand sometimes there isn’t a standalone corporation/company to come anywhere close to the rest of the sample. Maybe a footnote as succinct as possible explaining why the “Other” is so big could help someone looking over this graphic.

It should probably be noted that Chanel does own gunmaker Holland & Holland which with recent brisk gun sales might be boosting their bottom line a bit.

If we’re counting sales this way, LVMH is by far the largest market share. Hands down…

But for Holland & Holland as well? There would be no posher way to yeet someone of your property then.

Coincidentally TIL Coco Chanel was an active nazi collaborator during the occupation of France and cemented her business during those years with such little competition at the time. And also weaseled her way out of being charged as a nazi collaborator despite working directly with the SS.
