They can more or less cure them. You can get shots for a few years that acclimatize your body to those antigens and eventually they will stop effecting you. Also, antihistamines are very effective at blocking the symptoms of seasonal allergies if you're still affected by them.

Damn. My allergies have gotten better since I was a kid, but they still persist as an adult. Would be nice if there was an easy way to get rid of em for good, but oh well.
