Because people who have actually had this before know that just because you have a slice of watermelon next to a burger it doesn't magically get soggy.

idk I’ve put watermelon on a plate before and there was a lot of juice leaking from it

Not to mention the burger will only spend about 2 seconds actually on the plate next to the watermelon.
