Allow yourself the second egg yolk. Eggs are excellent sources of protein and provide long lasting satiation. If you want to be lean, forgo a pancake or two. Weight management with a modern US diet is much more about carb control than anything else.

Thank you — this makes sense! Since the pancake batter had eggs, I did a tradeoff 😂 Going to keep my yolks and reduce my pancake stack next time.

Don’t the yolks have a lot of cholesterol though?

They do! But the cholesterol levels in your blood are much more corelated to genetics and physical activity than they are to dietary intake. So enjoy the yolks! ☺️
