Probably made more pasta than the recipe called for, and then it got spread too thin over the pasta... Have had this happen many times with Marinara when I make too much pasta.

Lmao, glad I'm not the only one. It's probably fine, just used to seeing all the wet stuff poured over the top. Mixed in it just looks...noodly.
