Broccoli rabe is different than broccolini. They look very similar, but broccoli rabe (also called rapini) is more bitter.

True. In my professional career rapini is sold primarily sold as a green, not as a whole stalk, per se... I actually cooked some Raab on Thanksgiving, and I love the bitterness

Dat kan, ik ben er ook nog niet zo heel lang mee bekend. Toch is het tegenwoordig in elke zichzelf respecterende supermarkt verkrijgbaar.
