This looks delicious and reminds me of my favorite Ethiopian brunch food - Chechebsa. Also sort of made from bits of bread, fried in spiced butter and chili spice mix and eaten with yoghurt and honey. Love food parallels across continents.

Yes!! I fry them up super crunchy so when I pour the El Pato sauce on it it end ups being saucy but crisp!
