It's really good when you get that Goldilocks ratio of fatty to lean. The beef rib stole the show though, I felt like a Flintstone eating it. Dabbled in all the sauces, but honestly none of the meats needed it and were better sauceless which is the hallmark of good Q.

This was on the F1 weekend too with a UT game (albeit away). I was impressed at just how quick the line moved, and loved the "pick your own beer" cafeteria layout, and the side bar for refreshers.

last time i went in september one beef rib cost me 51.65. total bill was 122. i tried getting a job there. they run the smokers 24hrs a day and their starting pay is 28$/hr. working night shift on the smokers not having to worry about customers or traffic sounded like heaven to me.

Oh I know I’ve been there so good but staggeringly expensive……. I had BBQ sticker shock lol.

All this + 3 beers was about $100. Worth it in every way though.

I love BBQ, but it's like deep dish pizza to me. Eat it sparingly to keep it special, but when that craving hits absolutely nothing else will do.

Like most vices, the good stuff doesn't always come cheap.

noone has to at anyone for a killer brisket recipe. aaron franklin told the world how he smokes a brisket and made a youtube video howto. it changed the bbq world and pissed a lot of people off. now you can get a pretty badass brisket anywhere. its the rest of the food and the sides that makes or breaks a bbq place now. thats why goldees in ft worth got first last year/

Is the cornbread muffin wrapped in plastic? Would make sense if they heat by microwave oven. Looks delicious!

It is, but it was arguably the best cornbread I've ever had.

Gotta love the practicality of BBQ presentation. Plastic wrap preserves freshness and allows it to be reheated evenly without drying out. I'm no plastic lover...but I respect it.
