I'd assume it was supposed to be for your grandparents (her parents)

I suppose, but that begs the question of why she wouldn’t just talk to them. Though I suppose being in Hebrew school implies she was less than 13, and tweens aren’t known for stellar communication skills. Alright, just answered my own question.

I feel like a bunch of us kids wrote a letter thingy like this about an activity we wanted OUT of lol right!?

How is it not clearly intended for her parents?

That seems like unusual handwriting for the 70s.

Valid points here.. I also do not want to go to any type of after- school-school. It’s times for some cheese slices you’ve been storing under your bed and a little Arthur.

It was Hebrew school. For her bat mitzvah. It’s not that deep. My grandparents are wonderful people, and I’ve never gotten any indication their relationship with my mother is anything but loving.

I have known my mother and grandparents for nearly eighteen years. You know them by proxy through a single note written by a tween girl forty years ago. You don’t know shit about my family. Don’t pretend you do.

This really doesn't look like it comes from the 1970s, so next time you might want to either provide more visual context to indicate its nature as a 62 year old artifact or fake that same visual context and then include that, but as it currently is this is unconvincing.

Plot twist: the family are devout Southern Baptist!

Why would I lie about this? What would I gain from pretending my mother wrote a note at age 11 or 12 saying she didn’t want to go to Hebrew school? Is that what people are doing now? Faking old notes from their parents as children?

I’m screaming. She says provide a more visual context. What are you supposed to do, take a picture with an old camera? It’s a high definition camera taking a picture of a paper. The lack of perspective is rather concerning.

I have a feeling that she still had to go to Hebrew school after her parents read the note.
