I remember decades ago when the Weekly World News told us all in the US that we had to jump up and down at a specific time to counteract the Chinese who were planning to do the same thing in order to influence the Earth’s rotational axis for some reason or another.

Seemed like bullshit at the time. Now I’m not so sure.
