Wrong. Language, as a social construct, changes over time based on usage. This has nothing to do with the internet, besides perhaps the internet speeding things up. You probably hate the word "cool" as something positive rather than a synonym of cold.
While "Begs the question" is a logical fallacy, it has also come to mean "a question that begs to be answered" or, as you suggested, "a question that is raised". You can be a prescriptivist about language all you want but you'll be left behind, bitter.
Which appears to be the case.
