They said sometime early covid they weren't gonna be 99 cents anymore. Even before covid they were slowly adding items that were 2-5$.

Yeah, they stopped being an actual “99 cents only” store when the pandemic started. Now it’s random prices that just all end in .99 . Most things there’s are now more than a dollar last I checked.
