The payment I made equated for any extra that needed to be paid. I’ll call them and figure out what’s going on

The problem is that interest accrues. So while the dollar amount was correct, it wasn't correct by the time the payment was attributed via some fraction of a cent. Which is why you need the special loan payoff amount
